HAFF TIME

Next we went to Chad & Michelle's house down in Buena Vista, VA (about 3 hrs south of Washington DC). This is where we would spend Christmas. But, first we got to do all the fun "Grandparent" things that grandparents who lived CLOSE to their grandchildren get to do all the time - but we have to cram it all in one week when we visit. We had fun though.... first we went to Sydney's ballet dance class:

helped with the work around the house - except, of course, doing the dishes - since it is Keely's job to unload the dishwasher and Sydney's job to put the dishes away. Read lots and lots of stories:

We even got to be there for Landon losing his first tooth!!!

We had a ball playing in the snow. Chad & Michelle have this wonderful hill in the front yard- just perfect for sledding... unless, of course, you don't watch out for the apple tree at the end of the run:

Of course, there are ALWAYS joksters in every crowd.... Papa & Landon were down in the back yard and yelled for me (nana) to come out onto the balcony and take a picture of them... so, this is the picture I took... notice how innocent and smiley they look..... THEN they pelted me with the snowballs they were hiding BEHIND THEIR BACKS!!!

We played Angry Birds... ALOT!!!

And of course there is always hugging & holding to do: and we even got to go to a great Children's Museum - where we milked a cow, played in a water canal, painted in a glass room, and even got to see Mr. & Mrs. Claus !
